First Stop Safety
can help landlords understand their legal obligations when it comes to electrical safety in their rental properties. Landlords are required to take reasonable steps to ensure that appliances provided as part of the tenancy agreement are safe. Failure to do so can put tenants in danger and can result in prosecution.

Portable Appliance Testers: We offer a range of simple-to-use Portable Appliance Testers for you to carry out PAT testing. According to the Health & Safety Executive you do not need to be an electrician to carry out PAT testing as long as you use a simple "Pass/Fail" tester.

PAT Training: We run half-day "Demystifying Portable Appliance Testing" and 2-part "In Depth Workshop" courses to train people to do their own PAT testing. This can result in substantial cost savings, flexibility in testing, as well as an improved "safety culture" within the business.
